The John Birch Society is one of the oldest and most successful organizations in defending the constitution and informing the public about the enemies that would destroy it. It is always a pleasure to meet with the local members and learn from their many years of experience. The regular meetings have changed from the first Tuesday to the second Tuesday of every month.

Your Tri-Cities TEA Party has 2 events scheduled: 1 - A Potty Parade scheduled for Sept. 11 (See the example on our web site: http://t-ctparty.nin g.com ) 2 - A TEA Party scheduled for Sept. 12 @ John Dam Plaza (Details: http://jforbes.us/te a3.html ) What: Our Largest, Coordinated with all National Like Events, TEA Party! When: Saturday, September 12, 2009 Time: 1pm to 4pm Where: John Dam Plaza - Richland The aggregate National attendance for all TEA Parties on April 15 was approximately 1.2 million. We need to at least triple that attendance on 9-12! Please join us! Your Tri-Cities TEA Party Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one who has supported us via your joining our web site, blogging, posting photos and videos, donations and offering your help with our 9/11 Potty Parade event! View our TEA Party Flyer Here
We DO need a little more help with the 9/11 event. If you have a pickup or a trailer and would like to help - PLEASE contact Janie McDaniel @ (509) 582-6175 - or via email at mk_mcdaniel@yahoo.co m
Janie McDaniel has designed an awesome graphic for a TEA T-shirt. Once complete, we will be announcing how you can obtain one. The plan now(?) is to have them available at the 9/12 TEA Party. Stay Tuned!!
Many of you have been wondering where the TEA movement goes after 9/12. At the Tri-Cities we plan on continuing rallies, marches and protests as need and interest may dictate. Additionally, and maybe even more importantly, we plan on directing a major portion of our efforts to getting true fiscal conservatives elected in 2012 and 2012. During a national TEA conference call this evening that plan was also mentioned as being the intent of the national TEA Party Patriots agenda going forward from 9/12. I will be commenting further on this issue at the 9/12 TEA Party.
We hope to see you at John Dam Plaza on 9/12,

Seattle, Washington REGISTER NOW http://mises.org/eve nts/121 Student Scholarships Available Business cycles involve a boom and a bust, but is recovery always inevitable? Not if the government does the wrong thing 100% of the time. By subsidizing failing businesses, increasing taxes, printing money, and draining off private capital through wealth redistribution, public policy can end up killing any chance for extended recovery. If permanent depression is not what the Obama team seeks, it is doing everything possible to bring one about in any case. Speakers at this one-day event will examine current economic conditions, delve into history to look at the conditions that made other recoveries possible, and present a roadmap for the restoration of true economic health and vibrancy. Speakers include * Robert Murphy * Walter Block * Peter Klein * Lew Rockwell * Douglas French Registration 9:00 a.m. First speaker 9:30 a.m. Adjourn 2:00 p.m. Bookstore closes 2:30 p.m James W. Fogal CFP®, Director of Development for the Institute, is available during breaks and after adjournment to discuss charitable/tax saving strategies. Registration fee is $85 per person, which includes lunch and refreshment breaks. Email events@mises.org for more information. The event will be held at the Westin Hotel Bellevue. For accomodations at this hotel, email Anna Forslund and mention the Mises Institute for a special rate of $139 per night plus tax, based on availability.
