This is unreal. You can read about it here:
http://www.msnbc.msn....

Folks, PLEASE write a quick letter to NRL and let them know the following:

- Although Fred Thompson's voting record is pro-life, he has made statements in the past which demonstrate that he is only a, "passive opponent" to abortion - he has not and will not do much of anything to actively oppose it. He's even stated that he thinks it's, "ultimately the woman's choice." He apparently does not believe that abortion is murder, as does the National Right to Life. In addition, as Briann mentioned, it's now been uncovered that he's done lobbying for a pro-abortion group in the past ( http://www.politico.c... ), which further demonstrates his questionable scruples.
- In contrast, Ron Paul has actively introduced legislation to protect unborn children: he authored HR 1094, which sought to define human life as beginning at conception. He also was the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. He also authored HR 1095 which prevents federal funds to be used for so-called "population control."

Take a few moment of your time and help bombard NRL with e-mails, letters, and phone calls (do two or more of those if you can, please!), respectfully demanding to know why they would support Thompson over an obviously stronger pro-life candidate such as Paul. And please pas this information along to other who might care. Since the formal endorsement isn't until Tuesday, we might be able to sway them if we send enough e-mails before then. Here is NRL's contact info:
