First Prayer Action: Keep Bush from faking reasons for imposing martial law.

That's an indication of what he and his goons now can - and probably will - do if someone gets too vocal about opposing his policies in Iraq.

Some say Bush will use either an outright staged terror attack or one that is 'permitted' to occur as a catalyst for the attack.

There is a real possibility that he will impose martial law in the US in order to finally cement his dictatorial powers. Some even speculate he will do all of this to prevent the next election from taking the country's high office out of his control.

All that may be pure speculation as to the details. However, the fact that Bush is up to no good can clearly be seen from the executive order referred to above. Not even Hitler or Stalin had laws on the books that effectively criminalize "potential" crimes (i.e., crimes committed by an individual whom a government official "determines" may "pose a significant risk" of violent behavior IN THE FUTURE.

The evidence that Bush is assuming dictatorial powers as fast as he can points to his feeling cornered. The lower his popular support sinks, the worse and the more blatant his power grabs are becoming. The kind of success and impact Ron Paul has enjoyed in the short four months since he declared his candidacy were previously unthinkable for a man who proposes a return to a truly limited constitutional government. The marginalization game no longer works. That makes Ron dangerous to the establishment. They want to make sure the country never gets a chance to recover from the loss of freedom our last few presidents have so diligently worked to bring about.

That is the background I want to set for this first prayer action. It is not just for Ron, of course, because he is not just acting for himself. he is acting for the country, for Liberty itself, and for you and me and everyone else.

THE CENTRAL THOUGHT: Pray that God keeps Bush, et al. from finding or creating excuses for imposing martial law on the country - for whatever reason.

Of course, you can pray in any way you like. That's between you and God. My experience has been that it works better after confessing our sins to God so we are in fellowship and filled with the Holy Spirit when we go before him, so that's what I'll do, at least.

Let's set our alarm clocks on our cell phones for 9:15 pm CENTRAL Standard Time so we all have fifteen minutes to go to a quiet place and get ready.

We then pray with all the focus we are capable of for ten minutes. It's not that easy to stay focused on one thought for that long, so that should be more than enough time.

After the ten minutes are over, just go about your normal business.

If you experience anything unusual during that time or shortly afterwards, please feel free to use the comments section to let the restof us know. I don't expect anything miraculous, butit should be interesting to see if anything does seem to change, according to your observation.
