You know what this is about.

It's about freedom, and "Truth in Politics."

It's about the survival of the United States as a free country,

and it's about you, your family, and your future.

All the incredible success Ron has seen did not just "happen" for no reason at all. Ron Paul is a God-loving man. In my view, he agreed to do what God wants him to do. He is God's man of the hour. By doing what he does, he is doing ALL of us who love Freedom more than phony security a huge favor.

Let's return that favor!

What we are doing here at this prayer network cannot be opposed. It cannot be curtailed by legislative enactments. It is a voluntary effort to come together and join forces in focused prayer.

Who could stop that?

The enemies of Freedom, of whatever political or religious persuasion, can snicker and laugh - but they can never stop us, and they know that!

For us to be effective, however, I would like everyone to consider this quote:

"If we confess our [known] sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our [known] sins and to cleanse us from all [unknown or forgotten sins] unrighteousness.

(1 John 1:9)

Confessing means naming our sins to God in the privacy of our own minds. Nothing more - and nothing less. However you feel while doing this is irrelevant - but if you think God wants you to "feel bad" before he'll forgive you, you are adding your own "works" to it, which makes the whole exercise ineffective.

As long as we live on this earth we are still under the influence of our sin nature. That means we can't help but occasionally sin, even after we are saved. Wehn we do, we fall out of fellowship with God, and no matter how much we pray, he can't hear us. We have "cut the line".

Because of that, it's essential to understand that we must restore fellowship before we can pray effectively, and 1 John 1:9 is God's gift to us for quickly restoring it. There are no emotional hoops to jump through, and no aisles to walk down in order to pray at some man-made altar. There is only you, God the father, and his Grace to you, which includes Christ's sacrifice which made this amazingly effective means for recovering or "rebounding" from sin possible.

Naturally, none of the above just grew out of my own head. I only learned it from my Pastor and actually applied it, so I know firsthand how effective it is. I am NOT an ordained minister. I'm only passing this on.


WHEN DO WE PRAY?

Individually: Every morning when we get up, and every evening when we go to bed.

As a Group: I want to hear your suggestions on that. Please take the poll to let me know. Suggested time: 9:30 pm on whatever day we choose, for fifteen minutes, only.

HOW DO WE PRAY?

That's completely up to you, in the end. It's a private matter between you and God.

WHAT DO WE PRAY ABOUT?

Well, Ron Paul, of course. His and his family's safety, and his success in the nomination process and the general election. We can get as specific as the situations dictate. I.e., if the Meetups don't seem effective enough in getting the number of people in each voting precinct that we need, we can address that, etc. we can pray that Bush won't start a war with Iran and impose martial law during Congress' August recess - or at any other time.

You name it, we can address it.
