What constitutes an appropriate budget for defense and national security concerns?
Featuring Libertarian senatorial candidate Scotty Boman and Fran Shor, a history professor at Wayne State and peace activist. Their presentations will follow an overview of our current budget priorities. The speakers will then respond to questions from the audience.
Scotty Boman became a Libertarian in 1985. Since then, he has tirelessly promoted liberty by writing, teaching, and running for public office. He has been a Libertarian candidate in every statewide partisan election since 1994. He has also been an educator for 19 years and currently teaches physics at Wayne County Community College.
Fran Shor is a Professor of History at Wayne State University where he teaches courses on US social-cultural history. Routledge Press will be publishing this fall his most recent book, "Dying Empire: US Imperialism and Global Resistance." He is a veteran activist in peace, justice, and international solidarity campaigns.
