In light of our impressive performance yesterday I wanted to project a few of my thoughts about going forward in this election process. First though let me say to us all congratulations! I can't fully express the true gratification I feel for seeing our hard work pay off, but our hard work has only just begun.
When the delegate tally is finally totaled (not the estimated number based on the number of presidential preference votes) it looks as if it will become clear that we will have more delegates than the other camps going into upcoming district and county conventions. Quite an enormous accomplishment and something that has not only raised a lot of serious eyebrows in this state's GOP but also given us almost instant credibility. I say almost because it is in the upcoming conventions that our work will have to be done. By hearing so many of the different reports I think most of you will attest to the fact that supporters of other canidates can be persuaded to support our platform. Many of us found out how simple this was at our caucuses by simply telling someone something about Dr. Paul they might not have otherwise known. That and the fact that once they met us in person they realized that we are not all the crazy conspiracy theory nut jobs the media told them we were, we everday Americans, just like them.
With our numbers going into the conventions we have the distinct possibility of becoming THE driving force behind this state's GOP (think about that for second). It will be imperative that we are on top of our game at our respective conventions. Be prepared to articulate our platform effectively, focus on parts of it you may have personal and/or professional experience in, and it will also help to outwardly appear republican/conservative. In order to be our most effective it will be a must that we organize.
I would like to suggest that each county or district in this state (some of the next level conventions will organized by county, some by legislative district, I'm all ears if anyone knows more about which counties/districts are doing what) organize our Paul supporters and hold delegate training meetings prior to the conventions. To these ends we will need volunteers in each of our state's 49 legislative districts - map
http://apps.leg.wa.gov/districtfinder/statewide.aspx This is not something that we have to wait for the campaign to tells us to do and is something we must do for ourselves. The campaign must now focus it's efforts on races in upcoming states (we can still help with that by phonebanking other states at headquarters too). Off the top of my head I can think of a couple of things to do to get things started;
1) We will need delegate leaders willing to spearhead organization efforts in their respective districts. These people will be responsible for contacting each and every Paul delegate AND every alternate Paul delagate in their district. They will oragnize district meetings so you will all be familiar with each other come convention time. Should difficulties arise in gathering Paul delegate information statewide they will also be responsible for building their districts delegate contact list. Leaders will also be responsible for desimnating training information to their districts delegates.
2) Delegate counts are not finalized but once they are we need a way to contact Paul delegates in every district. The campaign has some of this information but definately not all that I'm aware of as not every single precinct has reported. If anybody knows if the information can be obtained from the county/state GOP offices I would like to know.
If you would like to sign on as a District Delegate Leader, deliver this state to Ron Paul, and gain control of the state GOP please respond to this email or

CITY
COUNTY
LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT
I will be keeping a spreadsheet together with Molly Meggysey with all District Leaders and we will be working feverishly to provide those leaders with their delegate lists. Once the information received has been finalized we will begin our organization efforts.
Also please, anyone who has ideas to help further organize this effort please let me know. Organizing like this will all but ensure our success at the state level and I feel this is crucial to our cause and I hope that you do too.
Respectfully,
Josh Mayr - 45th District
