I know that everyone is straped for cash, and that there are many worthly calls for donations from your hard earned money, but I was compeled to write the following letter, and send a few bucks along with it. If you for some reason fell compeled to do the same, I have set-up a ChipIn. If you donate, please let me know if you would like your name included on the letter.
http://rbmcdonald.chi... Yours in Liberty, Robert B. McDonald Mr. James Lee Woodard C/O Innocence Project of Texas 1511 Texas Ave Lubbock, TX 79401 Dear Mr. Woodard: We the undersigned would like to apologize for having wrongfully imprisoned you for 27 years. It was a grievous crime against the most basic protection afforded an individual by the Constitution of the United States of America. While no apology or gift could ever adequately compensate you, we feel compelled to offer what we can. We did not sit on the jury that convicted you, nor were we part of the criminal conspiracy of the District Attorney?s Office that prosecuted you. We are individuals that are keenly aware of the absolute fact, that what we as individuals allow our government to do; we are in fact doing ourselves. We are members of the Freedom movement, from Austin, Texas. We believe that all our government does should be grounded in The Constitution. That The Constitution was specifically written to bind the government to the will of the people, and to protect all people from the power and abuse of the government. Enclosed with this letter is $XXX, offered not as just compensation for the wrong that we have done to you, but rather as a gift from those who fight daily for the cause of Liberty and Freedom to our brother who has recently won back his Liberty and Freedom. In Liberty; Robert B. McDonald |
