The County Convention. You must show up to support your Ron Paul delegates and alternates to the state convention. Politics are won by those who show up.

On Saturday March 1st, one of our legislative districts in King county had their convention. Experienced Ron Paul supporters and campaign staff went in to provide support for the Ron Paul delegates and alternates that were to attend. Every alternate that showed up became a delegate from all the campaigns. This is a demonstrations as to why all Ron Paul alternates must show up. The Republican party proceeded with 80 open seats. We needed 25 more Ron Paul people to show up to get 15 delegates to the state convention. We got ZERO delegates . The reason for this... not all of our Ron Paul supporters went.

Also, we needed two or three people to understand the Roberts Rules of Order. When the county chairwoman stood up and said "we don't know where this slate came from ... but this other slate has the support of many prominent Republicans..." and the other slate happened to be ours, we knew we were in trouble. She needed to be handled right away and she wasn't, therefore it went into motion. Our Ron Paul supporters could not follow the instructions of our Ron Paul leadership because communication was not very easy on the floor of the convention.

There are more stories to tell you, but you need to come on the conference call. Equip yourself with the what-to-dos and the what-not-to-dos otherwise, all of the hard work that you did and your fellow Ron Paul supporters did will go to the wayside. We do not know what will happen between now and September. We must have Ron Paul delegates on the floor of the National Republican Convention. Please come on the call and please let others know how important this call is and how critical the call to convention is. Also, do not answer your call to convention letter. Please allow for your county organizer (Ron Paul campaign) to place you on the slate. We don't want to dilute the votes.

Don't worry about how intimidating this all sounds. There are those who are born spokesmen and those who just like to support them. You choose what you want to be. The only thing you need to know is what you need to say to win a seat to the state convention.

Another reason to be at the county convention in the 3rd congressional district is to help Michael Delavar get the vote he needs to be endorsed by each county's Republican party. This applies to Thurston (parts), Clark, Lewis, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Skamania, and Cowlitz counties.
