Per conversation yesterday:

I suggest you add to your Phinney Meetup Group a Friday Morning War Protest. This event is a no-commitment, no effort, no maintenance addition that puts activity on your group. I offer to organize it. The protest goes on every Friday morning at 23rd and Union, and has been going on for about three years. The people doing it have no specific political goals except to protest the war and wave impeachment signs. They routinely complain that diverse groups cannot work together to solve problems because of political rivalries. I show up weekly to protest and display a Ron Paul sign.
The Ron Paul signs and banners have been made frequently in Auburn, but due to communication problems, the people who make them have problems reaching the people who want them. The banners are unfinished (a huge problem to city apartment dwellers). If and when the Seattle group get an office, the problem will disappear. Until then, better communication is desperately needed. Paul West [address removed] is the main person that I know of that has financed and produced banners.
