Hey Guys,

It's official: the rally will now be held in Carmichael Auditorium at Carolina. Carmichael is a legendary venue. For those of you who aren't college basketball fans, it is currently the Carolina women's basketball stadium and formerly the men's basketball stadium. Michael Jordan played his college basketball career there. When you step in the building, you get goosebumps. There will be no admission charge. The fees for the event will be paid for by the campaign. Here are directions to Carmichael Auditorium from various routes:

I have spoken to the Parking Office. They have agreed to make Ram's Head deck available. The bad news is that Ram's Head is a pay deck, so there will be a fee for parking. (We can't do anything about this.) Another parking option will be to park at the Friday Center on Highway 54, which is about 2 miles from the University, and ride a bus to campus. (In fact, I believe the bus will stop right in front of, if not just a stop light away, from Carmichael.) Here's a map to get an idea of where Ram's Head is:

If you look in the lower left around orange markings S8 and RD, you will see a yellow highlighted box. That is the Ram's Head parking deck. Once you get to South Rd (which you'll become acquainted with in the directions to the University), you can get there a number of ways. You can turn on Stadium Drive heading south on the map, make a right turn at the end, and the parking deck will be on your right. You can also turn on Country Club Rd heading south, and this will give you a straight shot to the deck, which will be on your right.
