Dear County Coordinators, Precinct Leaders, Meetup Members, and Ron Paul Supporters:

This is it, folks. Super Tuesday is just about here. We will be conducting exit polling outside our precincts or other precincts, together or by ourselves. Please don't think of this is a daunting process. It's very simple. One person with a clipboard and two forms can cover an entire precinct. And if you can't do it all day, that's fine, too. You might not get everybody, but you can get us some good data.

And here's another thing. Unless there's a combined polling location in your county, all of the precincts in a county are pretty much the same size.

What you need for each precinct polled:

For minimal coverage, one volunteer, as long as possible. Try to be there for at least 2-3 hours, at one of the peak times: 7 AM ? 10 AM, 11 AM ? 2 PM, or 4 PM ? 7 PM.

Bring a clipboard, chair, forms and two Ron Paul yard signs, if you have them, to place 150 feet from the polling location in both directions.

For full coverage, at least four volunteers, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Two or more exit pollsters and two sign-wavers. If you can arrange for a notary public to be on site, please do so. If you have a notary public, he or she should be standing near one of the sign-wavers. Bring a table, several chairs and several clipboards, forms, and 4x2 or larger signs.

There are two options for polling:

If you DO NOT have a notary public on site, use the following instructions and forms.

Exit pollsters should ask voters three questions:

"Hi! Would you like to take our exit poll? It only takes 10 seconds!"

"Who did you vote for?"

[Check the appropriate column. If they answer "Ron Paul" hand them a second clipboard with the Exit Poll Voter Information Form.]

"Did you have any trouble voting?"

[If they answer "Yes" hand them the same secondary clipboard with the Exit Poll Voter Information Form.]

To be clear, each exit pollster will have one clipboard to tally as many votes as possible. They will also have a second clipboard to collect all Ron Paul voter's information as well as the information from all voters who had trouble.

If you have a notary public on site, use the following instructions and forms:

The only difference is that voters can complete an affidavit that they either voted for Ron Paul or that they had difficulties voting. If they respond either way, please ask them to visit the signwaver and notary public, who will have the forms.
