About Renton Kent Maple Valley Campaign For Liberty Group

Here is a little explanation on why it is so important to have everyone's information and be able to contact them:

This is my understanding of how it all goes down (please correct any inaccuracies)
On February 9th there are PRECINCT caucuses where the delegates to the County caucus are elected. The precinct caucuses are usually held in homes or schools, depending on your area ? it differs from place to place. Out of the people that show up to the caucus the delegates are elected. The Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) automatically becomes a delegate to the County Caucus, but depending on the size of your precinct it there is usually at least one other delegate from that precinct elected as a delegate to the county caucus, sometimes 5-6. The IMPORTANT part here is that if you are a RON PAUL supporter, you need to show up to your precinct caucus on Feb 9th. Here is why:

Example scenario: The PCO for your precinct is a Fred Thompson supporter, so he brings a few of his friends that are also Thompson supporters to vote, if no one else shows up (usually the case) then they elect themselves to become delegates. Well if the Ron Paul supporters show up and they out number the other guys, then they can ?out vote? them. So the Ron Paul supporters become the county delegates, minus the PCO who is a Fred Thompson supporter. (side note, that's why you should try to become the PCO for your precinct if at all possible)

So you have to find other Ron Paul Supporters in YOUR PRECINCT and go to the meeting on February 9th.

Then from the Precinct Caucus it goes to the County caucus, and they vote again on Delegates to go to the STATE caucus on Feb 19th - this is the important one. If we have enough Ron Paul delegates in the State Caucus, then we CAN and WILL give the nomination to Ron Paul.

  • So it goes from Precinct Caucus where you elect delegates to the County Caucus -
  • Then from The County Caucus the delegates there select the delegates to the State Caucus-
  • Then at the State Caucus, they elect the presidential nominee

In the over all picture -For the Republican Party in Washington the Delegate votes count for 51% and the regular voters count for 49% of who chooses the Nominee. So we CAN'T rely on the votes of the regular Ron Paul voters. WE HAVE TO GET ACTIVE AND GET RON PAUL SUPPORTERS TO THE CAUCUSES!

This is supposed to be happening all over the country - and if it does, Ron Paul WILL WIN the Republican Nomination.

So that is why we need to get organized and get people to get involved. We need to find the Ron Paul supporters in your precinct!

Ideally we would like to have each one of us become the PCO and/or take charge of our own precinct and find all the Ron Paul supporters you can! smile
