Everyone is invited on this 233th anniversary of the Declaration of Independance. 1776 is the universal promise for mankind to live in a free, prosperous and cooperative world, built on the sovereignty of nations, freed from oligarchies and ruling empires. The times are challenging. The British empire has come back and America has fallen in its net again. It is now in the process of completely wrecking the U.S. as a nation, and with it, the entire world. But the resistance is growing at the same time and more and more people are waking up to this sinister reality. Let's gather and share the spirit of the founding fathers. Hi, The Rally for the Republic has been doing quite well with 10 to 15,000 participants. Meanwhile, Campaign for Liberty is now reaching 100,000 members ! Ron Paul is back on the MSM as he is no longer a threat in these presidential elections. It would be a good idea to meet and discuss all that. The r3volution has started and is still going. It seems nothing can stop it now from building still more strength in the years to come. "All I can say is that one and half year ago, I had no idea where it would lead to. And it led to more than I have ever dreamt of. I firmly believe now that our day is coming. Conditions are such that there is room now for the defense of liberty. (...) As you know, Ron Paul supporters organize a grand Revolution March on Washington D.C., on July 12. It's important that we show our support at the present occasion, show that Europe is part of the new era of the Freedom Movement (www.ronpaul.org), toward a peaceful world, people taking back their political power and civil rights, sound monetary and economic practices, freedom in all aspects of life.
That's the reason why we organize a Revolution March parallel event, on July, 12. It will be a rally taking place between 4pm and 5pm, at the same moment than the american event. The spot chosen is Trocadero, with its famous viewpoint on the Eiffel Tower, a straightforward symbol for our friends in America. We will make a video for the occasion, post it on Youtube for everybody to watch. As we found out in previous months, our videos are very popular in the U.S. This should not be different with this one. First of all, let's find people around us to participate, invite friends and other groups, spread the information on the internet. The revolution is also about people taking actions and not waiting for the permission to do so. We need to be as many as possible to show that the support here is not declining, rather rising ! Bring flags, signs and your enthusiasm ! After the rally we will meet in a bar-café. This is the occasion to get to know each other, and for european Ron Paul meetup groups and other friend groups participating in the event to network. As Ron Paul said in his latest video report, we are at crossroads. A new spin has just been given to the campaign by announcing a grand march to Washington. The same way, we will discuss our current situation, our goals and the means to achieve them. Side discussions on more general issues are welcome but should not interfere with our organizing. Our last video worked pretty well and this is an easy way to touch the US public. We are ready to make another one, this time by Statue of Liberty in Paris. We won't repeat the same mistake we did for the first one. (This video will be short and we will do that in daytime to avoid the problem of the lighting. Also I give you my phone number so you can call me if you are late). The best date seems to be the first week end of February. We can then, have the video ready before the Super Tuesday Primary. I am convinced that this kind of foreign support is really appreciated in the US (even Ron Paul mentioned the support in Paris in one of his messages). It would be great if we could make another one before Super Tuesday Primary to motivate the supporters. IMPORTANT: We will only shoot the video if enough people are ready to come (I'd say 10 minimum).

We meet at 12.30 at Le Trésor for lunch and a general discussion on the lastes news.
Then, at 14.00, we split by pair and we go around sticking as many Ron Paul placards as we can in central Paris.
We need to look up at legal regulations in Paris concerning putting placards in the streets. We don't want to be fined, do we? Please bring your camera, plenty of good photos opportuntities.

Cheer up! and let's meet up. Hi everyone, salut tout le monde. First Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. Let's hope that 2008 will be remembered as the year the Revolution started. I know that some of us hoped Ron Paul would do better in Iowa.
But hey ! he did 10% of the votes in a very difficult State in which his campaign had not invested a lot . So I think it's not that bad. Now the real test is the New Hampshire primary tomorrow. If Dr. Paul does well there then the rest of the primary race should be very exciting. It?s been nearly one month since we haven't met and I would like to propose that we have our third meeting this week. How about Thursday (10th of January) at 7.00 pm? Should you have a problem with the date or the time, please let me know and I'll try to accommodate everyone. (As for the location, I think the Trésor was OK (central, ample space and cheap beers!).
But someone suggested going instead to another bar near la Gare du Nord. So I keep le Trésor tentatively and I am putting a poll in the meet up page so that everyone can vote.) AGENDA FOR THIS MEETING: - Self-congratulation on our video "Paris Loves Ron Paul" who hit the first page of best rated political video on Youtube Worldwide and has had nearly 10 000 viewers. - Discussion on the results of the Iowa and NH primaries. - Distribution of campaign material sent over by Maureen. - What's next?
