Tonight's meeting we will be seeing a very timely presentation by G Edward Griffin, THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND. It's the true story of the Federal Reserve System. This movie is about Obama's first hundred days in offfice. Everything is exactly the opposite of what they say it is. Welcome to newspeak, 1984. A lively discussion will follow and a homework assignment will be given. We will have a greater impact on the chosen issue through a concerted action plan. We will max out at 25 people. I figured out how we can rearrrange the furniture and get another six people seated. After that, It's standing room only. While I like to have as casual and relaxed an atmosphere as possible please remember that talking is not permitted during the movie so please keep your conversation to a minimum. While I'm writing this announcement our president has flown to London to conspire with others in the G20 Summit Meeting how to destroy the dollar, create a world currency and a world government. Our treasury department head and the federal reserve Chairman have already given the nod of approval to this. God help us to help ourselves!!

3 years ago the Supreme Court voted to allow forced property transfers from one private party to another based on the theory that an increased property tax benefit to local government counted as public use as required by the fifth amendment.

The majority decision in that case, Kelo v. New London City, made it clear that state and local governments were free to pass laws that went further to protect private property rights. According to Ilya Somin of the George Mason University School of Law, some 35 states have passed some sort of anti-Kelo legislation. (1) It is time for Californians to step up and declare their support for private property rights protection with this year's Prop 98. It was authored by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and supported by the California Libertarian Party, Yolo County Taxpayers Association, California Farm Bureau Federation, California Association of REALTORS and the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.

Davis City Council meetings are televised on Davis Community Television - Channel 15 and are available available online. Even if we fail to convince the City Council to give up their opposition to 98, we might convince others watching at the meeting, online and on local cable television to vote Yes on 98.

I consider this a very important event and hope you will be able to attend.
