Hi Virginia Beach!

My name is Kathy and I just signed up to be your new Organizer. I took on this position because when I tried to post a message for you all, I was informed that your Meetup group no longer existed because your former Organizer stepped down. If any of you would rather be the Organizer locally, I am happy to step down and allow you to step up.

I have been an enthusiastic Ron Paul supporter since I googled him two years ago, and have been very involved with the Ron Paul Meetup in Austin, TX. I'll write more about myself below, under the event information.

I would love to meet you all (whether or not I continue as your Organizer)! I would like to suggest the Evening with Chalcedon in Williamsburg this Saturday as a Meetup.

The Chalcedon Foundation was a sponsor of Dr. Paul's Rally for the Republic. Every Chalcedon supporter I know is also an ardent supporter of Dr. Ron Paul. Even if you don't agree with everything that Chalcedon presents, they offer in-depth scholarship and information that you just cannot find anywhere else. I've met so many amazing people through Chalcedon, besides finding answers to questions I could not get answers to anywhere else.

Here's the Meetup information:

MORE ABOUT CHALCEDON:

Since 1965, the Chalcedon Foundation has led the way in educating Christians in the biblical doctrine of law and liberty through scholarly books, journals, magazine, and position papers.

Chalcedon believes that America’s foundation, established on biblical Law and principles, is her only solution to the encroaching tyranny we are fighting against today, and that there can be no liberty without responsibility – specifically, the self-governing Christian living in terms of Scripture. God created men to be free, and the state swells in power only when God’s people, out of ignorance or indolence, fail to obey His relatively few and fixed laws. When allowed, the state historically always becomes a tyrant imposing countless man-made and ever-changing laws, restrictions and demands on the people.

Chalcedon has the message of victory and vision for the future inherent in the faith that America's Founding Fathers embraced but that most American churches left behind over a century ago. The faith of America's Founding Fathers is still our solution to tyranny, just like it was for them.

The Evenings With Chalcedon are designed for encouraging, empowering, and equipping, and will provide an opportunity to meet others in your area that share your faith and worldview. The intimate setting is a great way to learn more about the ministry of Chalcedon and the work of R. J. Rushdoony.

Please check out the Chalcedon website: www.chalcedon.edu.

Hey everyone,

I know there are few people in this group that talk about holding signs near churches before and after services and I think this is a good idea. I like people to discuss this idea on the message board or email me and let me know what you think. I figure we could make sign.... Christians for Ron Paul or this Christian for Ron Paul, Pray about Ron Paul, his Pro-life stance, School choice. There is about 12 people in the Tidewater area that have joined this group. Would anyone be interested in this area? We can pick a new church or even your church to go to every week. Also for the people around the country, would you be interested in getting friends, family members, and even some of your local meet up people do to this at your local churches? Lets kick around some ideas for signs. I think this might be a good way to reach our local Christian communities.

Hey everyone,

I just voted for Ron Paul in the Voter Values Straw poll on line. He is at the conference today speaking. It cost a $1 to sign up and vote. Here is the webpage and instructions that someone from the daily paul posted:

Vote in the "Values Voter" Straw Poll NOW for $1.00: Here's How
Posted October 19th, 2007 by Yvonne Kelly
As you know, Ron is speaking there this afternoon in DC. Most candidates except Fred (who was a paid pro-abortion lobbyist) will be addressing the group -- which is basically a pro-war bunch.

For a one-time min. donation of $1.00 we can all vote in the Straw Poll. Here's How:

1. Go on-line to www.frcaction.org .
2. Once there, click on the large banner "Participate in the 2008 American Values Straw Poll."
3. If you are not already a member of FRC Action, you can join by submitting an annual donation of any amount (minimum: $1.00). After joining, you will be taken directly to your on-line straw poll ballot where you can vote for Ron.

Their ballot also asks who you think would make the worst President. I gave that honor to Benito Guiliani, even though there are so many other good choices.

The results will be announced Sat. at 3PM (ET).
Thank you very much,
Y
vote .

I think the deadline is tomorrow, but try to do it today just in case. Mitt Romney is speaking there tonight and has sent an email to all his supporters to go and vote for him. We need to beat him on this straw poll. Please post this on your message boards in other groups too.

Thanks everyone,
Jen

Hey everyone,

I am trying to see if I can get this DVD made with some help from others in the group by next week. I have listed some ideas and video's from You tube that I think would go well on the DVD on the message board. Please check it out. Please send me any clips or ideas you have for the DVD. Once we get it made, I would glad to send a copy of the DVD to everyone, or somehow post it online.

Thanks,

Jen:)

Hello,

I know I asked everyone to send an email this week to the 700 club asking them to do an interview with Ron Paul and why as a Christian you think Ron Paul should be our next President, but we have had about 10 new people join since then and I wanted to set another time on the schedule for the new members to send an email out to them. Here is the link http://www.cbn.com/contact/feedback-700club.aspx. Thank you so much for all the emailed early this week. I am hoping that we will get our message heard and that they will do an interview with Ron Paul.

Thanks,
Jen:)

I would like everyone to email the 700 club and request to them that you would like to see an interview with Ron Paul. Also, tell them why as a Christian you support him. I would like everyone to try to do it by Wednesday (October 10), because the next debate is Tuesday and he will get some more coverage. There are at least a couple million people that watch this show. Please also ask anyone you know that would be willing to send a email too. Here is the link to where you can request an interview for Ron Paul http://www.cbn.com/contact/feedback-700club.aspx . Thanks everyone. Please offer any other suggestion of who or where we can write to help try to reach more christians. Anyone know how to market this meetup more?
